Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately and safely build a space having depth of several hundreds meters in a ground by a method wherein a tunnel is excavated firstly in a ground, and the tunnel is filled with concrete to constitute a reinforced wall surface. CONSTITUTION: A shaft is first excavated from a ground down to a given position in a ground, and a tunnel 1 extending approximately in a horizontal direction and in a curved state and having width approximately equal to the thickness of the wall of an underground space is excavated from the vertical shaft in a portion equivalent to the wall surface of an underground space, and a ring of a single continuous tunnel 1 is formed in a ground. The space of the tunnel 1 is filled with concrete for reinforcement. After reinforcing rings 2 are vertically laminated with the reinforcing ring vertically shifted by the height of one section, and a cylindrical wall surface is formed, an internal part is excavated, earth is discharged to form an underground space. Further, a free shape is formed without limiting to a cylindrical shape, and the tunnel 1 may be vertically excavated in a coil-form state.
