EXAMPLE:p-Nitrobenzyl 2beta-(4-methoxycarbonyl-5-methyl-1, 2, 3-triazol-2-yl)methyl- 2-alpha-methylpenam-3alpha-carboxylate. USE:A beta-latamase inhibitor. PREPARATION:For example, a penam derivative expressed by formula III (X represents Cl or Br; R<3> represents penicilline carboxyl-protecting group) is reacted with a 1,2,3-triazole derivative in the presence of a base to afford a compound expressed by formula IV. Then the compound is oxidized by using an appropriate oxidizing agent, followed by hydrolysis to remove the carboxyl- protecting group and afford the compound expressed by formula I.
