Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a drop in a yield rate which is to be caused when a particle diameter of a raw powder for a ferrite magnet is made fine by a method wherein stearic acid and/or a stearic acid emulsion are added to slurry. CONSTITUTION:Stearic acid and/or a stearic acid emulsion is added to slurry which has been prepared by adding water or an organic solvent to a raw powder for a ferrite magnet; these are mixed; their slurry is injected into a cavity inside a metal mold; it is filtered, compressed and molded; then, it is baked. If the stearic acid and/or the stearic acid emulsion are added, their lubricating characteristic acts as a lubricating characteristic of a ferrite fine particle of the ferrite slurry, suppresses a crack of the particle and contributes to the uniformity of a molding density of a ferrite magnet molded substance. By this setup, a high yield rate is obtained even when a particle diameter is made fine.
