Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the linearity of an input/output characteristic by making the gate width of succeeding FETs the same as or smaller than the gate width of the 1st stage FET and decreasing the feedback resistor of the 1st stage and the final stage more than that of other stages. CONSTITUTION:In selecting the mutual conductance (gm) and feedback resistors 11, 21, 31 of FETs 7, 8, 9, the mutual conductance gm of the 1st stage FET, that is, the gate width is selected larger than the gate width of the FETs 8, 9. Moreover, the feedback resistor 11 of the 1st stage and the feedback resistor 31 of the final stage are selected smaller than the feedback resistor 21 of the FET 8. Since the feedback resistance of the 1st and 3rd stages is selected smaller than the feedback resistance of the 2nd stage so as to increase the feedback quantity of the 1st and 3rd stage in this way, a prescribed power gain is obtained and the input/output characteristic with a high input level is improved. Moreover, since the mutual conductance gm of the 1st stage FET is selected larger than the mutual conductance gm of the final stage FET, the power consumption when the input level of the 1st stage is low is decreased.
