Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain the title ultrafine fiber having high strength and excellent flexibility and handling property, by carrying out composite-spinning of a fiber-forming polymer and a component composed of ceramic powder and a binder to obtain a composite fiber having a specific shape and baking the obtained fiber. CONSTITUTION:(A) A mixture of powder of a ceramic (precursor) and a binder (preferably PVA, etc.) and (B) a polymer for keeping the form of fiber are subjected to composite spinning to form a composite fiber containing the component B in a state contacting with the outer circumference. The objective fiber is produced by baking the obtained composite fiber. The ceramic of the component A is preferably those containing 4 components consisting of Q (e.g. Y), R (e.g. Ba), S (e.g. Cu) and T (e.g. O).
