Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely and securely carry a cargo with support by a fork and pressurization by a presser tool by supporting an elevatable body in an upper part of a support frame at a tip of a robot arm freely to be elevated, and fitting a presser tool for preventing the generation of cargo shifting to this elevatable body. CONSTITUTION: A lateral traveling table 20 is driven by a lateral traveling driving machine 23 so as to set a fork 32 in the forward moving condition, and a cargo W is picked up from a conveyor of a cargo carrying line by the fork 32. At this stage, a robot hand is made to move forward till a side surface of the cargo W abuts on a stopper 50 so as to transfer the cargo onto the fork 32. Continuously, an elevatable body 4 on a support frame 2 provided in a tip of an arm of the robot hand is lowered by an elevating body driving device 7 so as to push a top surface of the cargo W with a presser tool 10 of the elevatable body 4. In this condition, the cargo W is carried to the predetermined position by the operation of the robot. At this stage, the cargo W is held between the fork 32 and the presser tool 10, and generation of cargo shifting is prevented.
