Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a machining work such as deep cut (D-cut) machining possible using a few simultaneously controlled shafts by providing a main spindle, a tool post, an oscillating shaft provided over the tool post and in parallel to the movement of the tool post in a direction perpendicular to the main spindle and a tool shaft provided in parallel to the oscillating shaft. CONSTITUTION:In the case of D-cut machining, a turret driving servomotor 16 rotates to index a tool holder 25 which rotatably holds an end mill 27, and then the Z axis slide 6 and the X axis slide 7 move in both the X axis directions to make the end mill 27 move to the fixed position on D-cut part. In addition to that, a main spindle 3 is in stoppage, and fixedly positioned at a position where D-cut surface is directly opposite to the tool 27. A tool driving motor 22 rotates in this state to make the tool 27 rotate through a tool shaft 28, and the servomotor 16 rotates to the fixed extent to make the tool 27 oscillate downward round a center line 12. Thus the D-cut machining can be performed on the side of a workpiece by stopping the main spindle 3 and controlling only one shaft to oscillate the tool 27.
