Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable machining in vertical and horizontal directions and to improve work efficiency by making index rotation of a turret head through an indexing mechanism and selecting a tool, then making selective rotation of spindles positioned in vertical and horizontal directions through a drive mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A moving base 2 and a frame 4 are moved corresponding to the position of a work W, while a turret head 5 is indexed to select a tool 10. It is constructed such that a spindle 7 positioned in horizontal direction to vertical position can be rotated selectively through a servo motor in drive mechanism. Since machining can be made in horizontal and vertical directions, economical cost can be reduced and work efficiently can be improved. All tools 10 fixed to the turret head 5 can be used commonly for machining of horizontal and vertical faces, thus enabling effective complex machining.
