Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent formation of frost on an indoor heat exchanger even when brine of up to 0 deg.C is used for cooling, by a method wherein the flow ratio between brine flowing out from a heat accumulator and brine flowing through the bypass flow passage of the heat accumulator is controlled so that the inlet temperature of the indoor heat exchanger is adjusted to at least 0 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:During cooling operation, on-off switching valves 12 and 17 are opened and a flow rate regulating valve 13 and an on-off switching valve 18 are closed, and a pump 14 is turned ON. Brine 10 of approximate -10 deg.C in a heat accumulator 9 is circulated through a route of a heat accumulator 9 - a pump 14 - the on-off switching valve 17 - an indoor heat exchanger 15 - a brine pipe 5 - the on-off switching valve 12 - the heat accumulator 9 to perform cooling. When the brine flows to the indoor heat exchanger 15, the flow rate regulating valve 13 is opened by means of a temperature sensor 19.
