Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the floor area for installation and to allow the free selection of the place for installation by constituting a steam stop valve in such a manner that the trip and reset actions of said valve are executed by the steam for driving a turbine and springs housed in the valve. CONSTITUTION:The steam is sent from an accumulator 29 to a cylinder 17 and a piston 25 for tripping is pushed down to flare trip fingers 24 and to disengage the same from a hook part 23 when a trip signal is generated. The steam in a cylinder 20 is then discharged and a piston 19 is pushed down by the spring 21, by which a valve steam is lowered to fully close the valve. The steam from the accumulator 29 is stopped and the steam in the cylinder 17 is discharged when a reset signal is generated. The piston 25 is then pushed up by the spring 26 for resetting to return the tripping fingers 24 to the home positions. The steam is thereafter supplied from the accumulator 29 to the cylinder 20 to push up the piston 19, by which the valve stem 16 and a valve disk 15 are raised and the fingers 24 are fixed to the hook part 24. The valve is thus fully opened.
