Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease a quantity of permanent magnets and to simplify the setting of magnetic field intensity by providing a superconductor in either an opposed part in a shaft side or a bearing side and a permanent magnet in the other. CONSTITUTION:A superconductor 5 is mounted to a rotary shaft 1, and a permanent magnet 4, which magnetizes the internal peripheral side to an N polarity and the peripheral side to an S polarity in the radial direction, is mounted to a bearing housing 2. By the constitution thus obtained, the permanent magnet 4 disables its magnetic line of force from advancing into the inside of the superconductor 5, lifting it thus supporting a load in the direction at a right angle with the shaft. Accordingly, the setting of magnetic field intensity can be simplified by reducing a quantity of the permanent magnets.
