Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a doubled storage capacity value with the same mounting area as a conventional area by a method wherein two types of storage devices which execute each storage operation when a selection signal is at 'L' are formed to be a two-stage structure. CONSTITUTION:When a chip selection signal line 12 is at 'L', a storage device 14 is in a ready-for-operation state, and reads and writes the information set in a data bus 11 in an address designated by an address bus 10 on the basis of an instruction of a control signal line. When the chip selection line 12 is at 'H', a storage device 15 is in a ready-for-operation state, and executes the same operation. The storage device 15 is mounted on the storage device 14 on a mounting substrate 6, and a two-storage structure is formed. If a chip is selected in this manner and the storage element is constituted to be of a two-strage structure, a storage capacity value per mounting area is increased.
