Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrolytic capacitor which is long-lived at a high temperature and whose electrical characteristic is excellent by a method wherein a tetraalkyl ammonium salt of succinic acid is contained as an electrolyte in a non-proton solvent or in a mixed solvent where the non-proton solvent as a main component is mixed with a polyvalent alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A combination of an electrolyte and a solvent is basically arbitrary; the solubility of some of tetraalkyl ammonium salts is low in relation to a non-proton solvent; in this case, a mono salt is used as the electrolyte; a mixed solvent where the non-proton solvent as its main component is mixed with a polyvalent alcohol is used as the solvent. Because the tetraalkyl ammonium salt of succinic acid as the electrolyte is contained in the non-proton solvent or the mixed solvent where the non-proton solvent as a main solvent is mixed with the polyvalent alcohol, the electrolyte of high conductivity is obtained; an internal resistance value of an electrolytic capacitor is lowered; water is not contained essentially; accordingly, a deterioration in a characteristic is reduced even after it has been used for many hours at a high temperature.
