Abstract
PURPOSE:To reproduce a stable PLL clock signal while avoiding the disadvantage of simultaneous production of an error signal and a reference signal by ORing exclusively the error signal and the reference signal and detecting coincidence and discrepancy between the error signal and the reference signal so as to control the phase comparison output. CONSTITUTION:The error signal PD from an EX-OR circuit 4 and the reference signal REF from the EX-OR circuit 5 are fed to an EX-OR circuit 11. Then the coincidence/discrepancy detection signal from the EX-OR circuit 11 and the reference signal REF from the EX-OR circuit 5 are fed to a NAND circuit 13. Then both the signals are fed to a gate terminal G of a FET 7. Moreover, the coincidence/discrepancy detection signal from the EX-OR circuit 11 and the reference signal from the EXOR circuit 5 via an inverter 12 are fed to an AND circuit 14 and the result is fed to a gate terminal G of the FET 8. Thus, the simultaneous turning-on of both the FETs 7, 8 is avoided by using the output from the NAND circuit 13 and the AND circuit 14.
