Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of a light-transmitting signal-break detecting circuit, by providing a phase detector that delays and detects reproduced clock signals. CONSTITUTION:Reproduced clock signal C from light PCM receiver 1 is applied to input terminal 17 of light-transmitting signal-break detecting circuit 16. In light- transmitting signal-break detecting circuit 16, reproduced clock signal C and a reproduced clock signal delayed by a certain time at delay circuit 12 are applied to phase detector 13 for the delay and detection of reproduced clock signal C and the detection output is applied as a detected value to comparator 15 by way of low-pass filter 14. Then, comparator 15 compares the detected value with a reference value to send output H when the detected value is greater or output L when less to gate circuits 5 and 6. Thus, data output D and reproduced signal C are outputted to output terminals 6 and 8 only in arrival of received signal A.
