Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a hydraulic machine mechanism and improve the responsiveness by computing variations in offset amounts and changing an horizontal offset amount of work rolls by a hydraulic cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An offset amount δ detected by an offset amount detector 8 is sent to a control block 14 by expressing the offset amount by a numerical value by a computing element 13. A variation ▵δ is computed by an equation of ▵δ=(R1+R2)▵S/δ; where, R1 is radius of a work roll, R2 is radius of a backup roll. The computed variation ▵δ and the offset amount δ are relationally computed by a comparison computing element 15 and the computed result actuates a servo valve 18 through a computing element 16 computing electric current patterns and a servo amplifier 17.
