Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a solid odophor composition readily usable for disinfectant washing, sterilization disinfection, etc., such as medicines, dairy farming, food processing or environmental sanitation, by mechanically blending an iodine carrier with an iodide, peroxycarbonic acid or salt thereof and powdery acid. CONSTITUTION:A solid iodophor composition obtained by blending an iodine carrier (especially preferably any of a surfactant, polyol and polyvinylpyrrolidone in an amount of 0.1-80wt.%) with an iodide (which may be a compound capable of dissociating into iodine ions in an aqueous solution and is especially preferably an alkaline metal iodide in an amount of 0.01-20wt.%), peroxycarbonic acid (salt) in an amount of 0.001-50wt.% and a powdery acid (especially preferably oxalic acid, citric acid or alkaline metal hydrogensulfate in an amount of <=90wt.%), This pharmaceutical has excellent stability and is capable of rapidly dissolving in water when formed into tablets with excellent sterilizing powder due to generation of iodine.
