Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled tablet for a bath, kitchen, etc. capable of dissolving in water uniformly in short time, comprising an alkali metal dichloroisocyanurate, crystalline organic carboxylic acid, and alkali metal carbonate as essential components.
CONSTITUTION: The titled tablet comprising an alkali metal dichloroisocyanurate (e.g., sodium salt), crystalline organic carboxylic acid (e.g., succinic acid) and alkali metal carbonate (e.g., sodium hydrogencarbonate) as essential components, having an equivalent ratio of organic acid compound to alkali metal carbonate of 1:1W1.5, optionally blended with an inorganic builder, etc., having a pH of 1wt% aqueous solution in a range 5W7, obtained by tableting. Not only alkali metal carbonate but also crystalline organic carboxylic acid evolve CO2 gas by their decomposition, so that the tablet moves in water. Consequently, active chlorine is dissolved in water uniformly and quickly, and it can sterilize materials.
