Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture an extra thin amorphous alloy for magnetic parts combining high magnetic permeability with low iron loss, by preparing an extra thin amorphous alloy of a specific thickness containing specific percentages of Fe, Cr, Mo, W, Si, B, P, and C. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy of <=10mu thickness is prepared by using an alloy having a composition represented by a formula (Fe1-xMx)100-zYz, where M means one kind selected from Cr, Mo, W, Cr+Mo, Cr+W, and Cr+Mo+W, Y means at least one or more kinds selected from Si, B, P, and C, and the symbols X and Z stand for 0.01-0.1 and 15-30, respectively. By this method, the extra thin amorphous alloy in a superior state free from pinholes, etc., can be obtained.
