Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of a comb line filter by using a glass delay line which has a wide band, flat frequency characteristics, and low characteristic impedance for the filter and increasing the input level of a video signal.
CONSTITUTION: The glass delay line DL1 has a 3.58MHz±1.1MHz, flat frequency characteristics, and characteristic impedance about 1/2 as large as that of a conventional delay line. A filter circuit increases the level of the input video signal to 4∼5 VPP, and VR1 and L2 balance the input and output sides and also correct the characteristics. Thus, the input level of the video signal is increased, so a delay line insertion loss compensating amplifier can be omitted, and a phase distortion correcting circuit can be omitted because of the wide band and flat frequency characteristics of the glass delay line DL1. Further, the characteristic impedance of the glass delay line DL1 is low, so a buffer amplifier for an output signal can be omitted.
