Abstract
PURPOSE:To output only a reproducing signal component by a true gap part to a circuit at a rear stage, by connecting a compensatory system to generate a compensation signal with a code opposite to that of a pseudo reproducing signal due to a pseudo gap part and with almost the same phase and signal level as that of pseudo reproducing signal in parallel with a main system. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing circuit to suppress the influence of he pseudo gap part G' is connected to the output terminal of a magnetic head 1. The reproducing signal from the magnetic head 1 includes the reproducing signal component (a) by the true gap part and the pseudo reproducing signal component (b) by the pseudo gap part G', and constant phase shift T exists between both signal components. The compensatory system B generates the compensation signal (a') by applying a signal processing such as delay, or attenuation, etc., on the reproducing signal from the magnetic head 1. By adding the compensation signal on the output signal of the main system A, it is possible to offset the pseudo reproducing signal in spite of the strength of the influence of the pseudo gap part, therefore, the reproduction with fidelity of a signal can be realized.
