Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the color resolution by high band correction of color signal with the high band luminance signal, when the luminance signal lower than a given level of low band color difference signal is input. CONSTITUTION:The narrow band color difference signal from the terminal 1 is made to low band color difference signal via the filter 2 and fed to the gates 15, 16. Futher, the luminance signal via the amplifier 18 and the low band luminance signal via the filter 19 are fed to the gates 15, 16. The gates 15, 16 output lower level input signal and the output signal is fed to the subtractor 20 to be correction use high band luminance signal. This luminance signal is fed to the adder 8 together with the low band color difference signal, and the adder 8 outputs the color difference signal compensating the high band characteristics. The luminance signal level to correct the color difference signal is arbitrarily set with the adjustment of the amplification factor of the amplifier 18.
