Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain air-fuel ratio in a main chamber continually to an optimum value by controlling a supply pressure of gas to a subchamber in a manner, wherein a specific relation formula is established, in accordance with a change of intake negative pressure corresponding to an engine speed and a boost pressure corresponding to an engine load. CONSTITUTION:Supplying air to an intake pipe 4, the air, after it is mixed in a main chamber mixer 10 with gas regulated in its pressure by a main chamber regulator 12, is supplied to a main chamber 2 via an intake valve 6. While gas in a subchamber gas supply pipe 15 is regulated in its pressure by a subchamber regulator 17 thereafter supplied to a subchamber 3 via a check valve 16.
