Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an accurate flow amount control of air to be attained by enabling suction air in the downstream side of an idling air flow control valve, which is actuated through a diaphragm in accordance with an intake pressure, to be introduced into an air-tight chamber, partitioned by the diaphragm, through a small bore flow path. CONSTITUTION:An internal combustion engine provides in its intake passage an idling air flow control valve 10, and its pipe-shaped valve shaft 10a is secured to a diaphragm 5 which partitions an air-tight chamber 4. A leak valve seat 7 is provided in the valve shaft 10a in its end part in a side of the air-tight chamber 4. To this seat 7, a leak valve 3, driven by an electromagnetic attracting means including a plunger 1, is opposed. Here securing the pipe-shaped valve shaft 10a penetrating through the diaphragm 5, in a position where the shaft 10a is positioned in the air-tight chamber 4, an orifice hole 6 is drilled. By the structure thus obtained, suction air in the downstream side of the valve 10 can be introduced into the air-tight chamber 4 through a negative pressure passage 9 and the orifice hole 6.
