Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the title material having high critical current density with high reproducibility by providing a diffusion reaction heat-treating stage under a specified condition for obtd. sufficiently uniform compsn. in O2 stream, a short sintering or crystallizing stage, and a slow cooling or an annealing heat-treating stage to a production stage of the material. CONSTITUTION:A compound oxide superconducting material having perovskite crystal structure is heat-treated by a diffusion reaction heat treatment by holding the material at 800-925 deg.C for 2-10hr in O2 stream after molding the material to pellets or wire, etc. The material is then crystallized or sintered by holding at 930-975 deg.C for 0.5-2hr, cooling slowly thereafter or subjecting to annealing heat treatment at 400-600 deg.C. By this process, a compound oxide superconducting material having high critical current density is obtd. with high reproducibility.
