Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent nonuniform presence of electrolytic in an electrolytic plate due to movement of the electrolyte by dividing the electrolytic plate made of non-porous ceramic into two or more pieces. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic plate 10 is divided into two pieces by a non- porous piece 11 made of lithium aluminate, the same material used for an electrolyte holding body. The non-porous piece 11 is manufactured in advance, with its both sides uniformly filled with lithium aluminate powder and press- formed into a piece of plate-shaped body. The plate-shaped body is then sintered into a holding body which is impregnated with molten carbonate of mixed Li/K based carbonate to obtain the electrolytic plate 10.
