1526594 Beta-alumina CHLORIDE SILENT POWER Ltd 21 July 1977 [1 Sept 1976] 36191/76 Heading C1J A beta-alumina ceramic for use in an electrochemical cell or energy conversion device using liquid sodium as a cationic material contains 8À4-9À0 w/o Na 2 0, 0À6-1À4 w/o MgO, 0À3-0À7 w/o Li 2 O and balance A1 2 0 3 (w/o= weight percent). The material may be sintered at 1550‹ C.-1800‹ C. at a speed in a pass-through furnace between 2 mm./min. and 120 mm./min.
