Abstract

PURPOSE:To move a card on a traveling base, to eliminate a notch to wholly reveal the data recording surface of the card on the traveling base and to eliminate the bend of the card with a simple device by fixing an elastic body to a magnetostriction element vibrated by a vibrating signal and inserting the card between a reference surface to face the elastic body and the elastic body. CONSTITUTION:An electric distorting element 2 such as piezoelectric ceramic, etc., is fixed on the surface of an elastic body 1 of an optical card recording and reproducing device and this elastic body 1 is arranged with facing a card traveling base 3. A notch 5 to pass through a light from an optical system is formed to this base 3 and the traveling direction of an optical card 4, which is inserted between the elastic body 1 and the base 3, is controlled by a guide 6 and a pressurizing mechanism 7.
