Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve durability and resolution and to remove the plex of fibers, by constituting both ends of bimorph so that they are not dislocated even due to driving force caused by vibration. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of the bimorph 3 (1st piezoelectric vibrator) include only a metallic elastic plate 3a, which composed of non-dislocation structure parts 4 and 5. When driving signals from a pulse generator 13 are impressed on the bimorph 3, it is driven, and a base 8 is vibrated by using a fixed point 7 as a fulcrum; therefore the end part of an image guide 9 on the object side vibrates in a direction intersecting orthogonally with an optical axis to remove the plex of biers. Since no stress is applied to the non-dislocation parts 4 and 5 when the bimorph 3 is driven in that way, peeling-off is hardly occurred at fixed points 6 and 7 even if the bimorph is driven in a long time every time an endoscope is used. Thus resolution is improved, and the plex of fibers can be removed. Besides to that, fixing the bimorph can be maintained in a long time to improve the durability of the endoscope.
