Abstract
PURPOSE:To use piezoelectric bimorph vibrators which displace largely with small volume and miniaturize an optical deflector by vibrating a condenser lens which condenses a light spot to information tracks by means of the piezoelectric bimorph vibrators. CONSTITUTION:Two piezoelectric bimorph vibrators 1, 1 which vibrate a condenser lens 2 are mounted to connecting members 5,...5 in such a manner that the directions and bearings of their vibrations are the same, and these are so arranged as to vibrate the lens 2 by the above-mentioned vibrations. In this case, said vibrators 1, 1 are vibrated at the frequencies equal to the resonance frequencies of the system assumed by these vibrators 1, 1, and the lens 2 or the like. As a result, the vibrations of sufficiently large displacements are applied to the condenser lens with the piezoelectric bimorph elements of small volume and the optical deflector is miniaturized.
