Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A bed metal 14 is inserted into the groove 12 of a porous member 10, and abrasive grains are filled in the gap between the parallel groove section 12a of this groove 12 and the bed metal 14. The porous member 10 and the bed metal 14 are immersed in a plating tank 18 under this condition, a pulse current is fed by a pulse current generator 24 between the bed metal 14 and an electrode plate, metal ions are moved through this porous member 10 and deposited on the surface of the bed metal 14, and abrasive grains 16 are temporarily stuck to the bed metal 14. The oxygen gas generated as a result of this deposition passes through the expanded groove portion 12b on the open side of the porous member 10 and escapes to the outside. As a result, efficient plating can be performed, and the abrasive grains 16 can be temporarily stuck to the bed metal 14 reliably. The bed metal 14 temporarily stuck with the abrasive grains 16 is then removed from the groove 12 of the porous member 10, and formal plating is performed to fix the abrasive grains 16 to the bed metal 14.
