Abstract

PURPOSE: To deburr efficiently by a method wherein steel bodies are stacked in an accurately registered manner by a positioning jig, a cathode is inserted in burred holes of the steel bodies which are maintained to be anodes, and a maching liquid is circulated between the holes and the cathode.
CONSTITUTION: The steel bodies 1 are stacked on a lower jig 8 in an accurately registered manner by the positioning jig 8, and an upper jig 10 is placed on the stack of the bodies 1. A cathode rod 17 is inserted through a hole 19 of the upper jig 10 and it is pressed in the direction of an arrow b with its lower end fitted in a cathode guide 18. Then, a plain mesh cord 11 is fitted to the side walls of the steel bodies 1 and is cramped by a fastening plate 12 onto the end face of the steel bodies 1 devoid of an insulating film 2, whereby the bodies 1 are made to be the anodes. When a current is passed between the fastening plate 12 and the cathode rod 17 and the machining liquid is introduced via an inflow port 13 of the lower jig 8, the liquid flows through a passage 16 and a gap between the cathode rod 17 and the holes 3, and is discharged via a discharge port 14. The liquid thus discharged is cleared of sludge by a sludge recovery mechanism and then it is recirculated.
