Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve temperature characteristics by using a thermistor when the reference voltage of an error amplifier is set. CONSTITUTION:A switching regulator is composed of a diode bridge 2 for rectification, a transformer 3, a switching transistor(Tr) 5, a base driver circuit 6, an overcurrent detector 7, a soft starting circuit 8, a dead time control 11, a regulator IC 15, and a reference voltage setting circuit 16. When a temperature changes at that time, a thermistor 19 is used in the reference voltage setting circuit 16 in order to prevent the increase of the temperature dependency of output currents-output voltage characteristics on the secondary side by the temperature characteristics, etc. of a resistor. A voltage value input to an inversion terminal for an error amplifier 13 as reference voltage is hardly affected by the temperature, thus reducing the temperature dependency of output currents-output voltage characteristics on the secondary side.
