Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of a data to be processed while enabling the obtaining of a result at a high speed, by detecting the position of a bright spot from an electrical signal obtained with a 1-D image sensor. CONSTITUTION:A beam splitter 42 divides in two a photographing optical paths of an object. In the respective optical paths, two barrel lenses 45 and 46 are arranged to obtain a 2-D image as such compressed in two axial ways and positions of bright spots are obtained in two different directions with two 1-D image sensors 48 and 49 arranged on respective imaging surfaces over the length of the image. Thus, the position of a bright spot is determined on a 2-D image of the object with an image computation processing section 8.
