Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a ceramic superconducting magnet by heating and holding a thin film superconducting ceramic material on a substrate, radiating laser rays in a belt shape to increase the crystallinity, then gradually cooling and transforming the radiated region into crystals with the superconducting characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 with the final shape is provided, the crystallization treatment of a superconducting material is applied in a belt shape on this substrate 1, then the superconducting material 2 is formed into a film. The laser annealing is selectively applied to the film 2, thus the crystallinity of only the annealed portion 4 is improved. The optional line, band, or face is introduced on the surface region 4 by optionally scanning laser rays 3, and only this region 4 is made the '0'-resistance state at the superconductivity critical temperature or lower. A superconducting magnet can be thereby constituted with the ceramic having very little bending property, ductility, and malleability.
