Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep off any undue drop in turbine revolving speed by quickly closing one or all of plural valves selectively according to the specified pattern at a time when the unbalanced value between turbine output and generator load is detected. CONSTITUTION:A control valve quick-close judging function (a) inputs turbine output (b) and generator load (c) respectively. And, it also inputs the initial output detected at time of load shutdown and stored in a memory (d). On the other hand, it outputs a quick-close signal to each control valve of CV, ICV or the like. In addition, it detects the unbalanced value between the turbine output (b) and the generator load (c), outputting the quick-close signal to each control valve at the specified pattern. At this time, one piece in these control valves or all of them are selectively closed in haste. With this constitution, load of a steam turbine power plant is hastily reduced and when shifting to system individual operation, it is shifted to it smoothly and safely without producing large overspeed there and, what is more, without lowering the revolving speed unduly.
