Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a bending conductive element which accurately detect variation in electric resistance value due to bending deformation by providing a bending control member for setting the operation bending area of the element within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The deforming conductive sheet 3 which has electrodes 4 fitted on both ends is stuck on a lead spring 2 and bending control members 1 are fitted to both ends of the leaf spring 2. Then one end of the member 1 is fixed to one end 2a of the leaf spring 2, and a stopper 1c is provided to the other end of the member 1 and engaged loosely with the other end of the leaf spring 2. The end 2b is therefore freely movable in the bending direction of the leaf spring 2 from a position prescribed by the stopper 1c. Consequently, an electric resistance measuring instrument connected to the electrodes detects a decrease in the resistance of the bending conductive element which bends more than the initially set degree of bending and when no stress is applied, the element returns to the initially set degree of bending by the member 1.
