Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a bulb into a proper contour for application by providing a mechanism for exciting in a bulb, where a closed magnetic field and an induced magnetic field for accelerating electrons are generated in a substantially closed volume for colliding with gas component atoms. CONSTITUTION: A high-frequency alternating current, flowing entirely in a toroidal coil 18 creates a potential inclination among the windings of the coil 18, so that an alternating magnetic field and an induced magnetic field with substantially the same frequency are added thereto, to accelerate and direct electrons for colliding with given gas component atoms contained in a gas housing chamber 16 in a closed contour housing 14. Ultraviolet rays which are generated by the collision of metal gas component atoms contained in the closed contour gas housing 14, especially in the gas housing chamber 16 with electrons, is radiated outward in every direction and hit a fluorescent material coating 20, formed on the inner face of a bulb 1 to form visible light.
