Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve durability of a damping member by providing a damping means capable of being deformed by light braking and a means for restricting deformation of the damping means below a specific amount at the time of strong braking on an area where a piston strikes a brake shoe. CONSTITUTION:At the time of light braking, when a piston 7 is operated, a sliding member 9 slides while moderately compressing a spring 10, a pressing force of the piston 7 is elastically transmitted to a brake shoe 4 through the spring 10 and the sliding member 9, and a damping effect of the brake shoe 4 can be obtained through the spring 10. On the other hand, at the time of strong braking, when a flatface portion 12a of a head of a stopper member 11 strikes the brake shoe 4, the compression of the spring 10 is limited to a fixed position, and further compression of the spring is blocked, so that the durability of the spring 10 is improved. Further, since the flat-face portion 12a of the head 12 of the stopper member 11 threaded into the piston 7 directly strikes the brake shoe 4, the pressing force is rigidly transmitted to the brake shoe 4, and thus-a feeling of rigidness in braking operation can be obtained.
