A brake operating force transmitted from the brake pedal 101 to the second input section of a reaction lever 51 through the operating rod 1, a valve plunger 22, a reaction disc 33 and a large plunger 32 is directly transmitted to a push rod 2 from the second input section located in contact with a reaction plate portion 8, thereby moving the push rod 2 forth. Even if the brake operating force is strong, the reaction lever 51 applies no backward force to the power piston 4 through a ball retainer 43.
