Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fatigue and early breakage of a pressure plate due to a repeated stress resulting from the repetition of braking, by a method wherein a differential of a transmission member to a piston is reduced in comparison with a differential of an air valve to the piston.
CONSTITUTION: Even if the air valve 11 moves widely backward to the right resulting from the operation of the valve when braking is released, the backward movement of the transmission member 30 located between the air valve 11 and the pressure plate 29 is limited to a small distance C by means of a toroidal stepped part 26b. That is, the backward stroke of the transmission member 30 toward the piston is short. Thus, a large deformation is not produced between a part where the pressure plate 29 contacts the transmission member 30 and a part where said part contacts a stepped part 26c of an outer circumference. This permits the protection of the fatigue and the early breakage of the pressure plate 29 due to a repeated stress resulting from the repetition of braking.
