Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent oxidative deterioration and to prevent a drop in magnetic characteristics due to oxidation, by composing this magnet of intermetallic compound magnetic powder, whose chief ingredients are rare earth metals and transition metals expressed in R-Fe-B, and thermoplastic resin as a bonding agent, and by performing coating processing of phosphate on a surface of the metallic powder. CONSTITUTION:Intermetallic compound magnetic powder, whose chief ingredients are rare earth metals and transition metals, is typical of R-Fe-B substance (where R is Nd and/or Pr, or one or more species of rare earth elements substituted for one part of these atoms, and addition of Al, Co, Ga, Dy, and the like is allowed to improve magnetic characteristics), magnetic powder known as an SmCo5/Sm2Co17 alloy magnet, or the like. A particle diameter of said magnetic powder is preferably 1-150mum or so. A phosphate film processing agent for antitrust purpose is suitable for the phosphate. Polyamide, polyethylene, polyolefine of polypropylene or the like, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polyphenylene sulfide, and other thermoplastic resin are exmplified for the thermoplastic resin serving as a bonding agent.
