PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body prevented from peeling of a protective layer from a photosensitive layer by forming an interlayer 0.2-0.8mum thick made of a polymer having a volume resistivity of 10<12>-10<14>OMEGA.cm. CONSTITUTION:The interlayer set to a film thickness to 0.2-0.8mum formed on a selenium type photosensitive layer has a function as an adhesive layer for sticking the photosensitive layer and the protective layer and another function for blocking generation of electric charge, and it is made of the polymer, such as nylon, copolymer nylon, casein, polyvinyl alcohol, partially cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl formal, ethyleneacryic copolymer, or polyvinyl methyl ether, having a volume resistivity of 10<12>-10<14>OMEGA.cm, thus permitting adhesion between the interlayer and the photosensitive layer to be improved, and the transparent protective layer to be prevented from peeling from the photosensitive layer, and accordingly, copying operation to be repeated for a long period.
