Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in characteristics bearing repeated uses by incorporating a specified hydrazone compound in the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains at least one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I in which (n) is an integer of 1-5; each of R1-R5 is H, halogen atom., alkyl, alkoxy, allyl, aryl, cyano, or nitro group, and each of R6 and R7 is optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl group. The photosensitive body can be enhanced in electrophotographic characteristics and sensitivity and characteristics bearing repeated uses by using said hydrazone compound as the charge transfer material of the single layer type or laminate type photosensitive body.
