Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and repetition characteristics by forming a photosensitive layer containing a specified hydrazone compound. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains at least one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I in which each of R5-R8 is H, halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy, optionally substituted alkyl, such allyl, such aryl, or such amino; each of R1 and R4 is optionally substituted alkyl, such aryl, or such aralkyl; and n is an integer of 2-5. Said hydrazone compound is obtained by using a small amount of acid as a condensing agent when needed, and condensing the aldehydes or carbonyl compounds with hydrazines in a proper organic solvent, such as alcohols, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity and superior in repetition characteristics.
