    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 対向して配置され、入射光を偏光分離・合成す
    る第１および第２の直角プリズム付き偏光ビーム
    スプリツタと、前記直角プリズム付き偏光ビーム
    スプリツタの間に配置され、前記直角プリズム付
    き偏光ビームスプリツタ間を透過する直線偏光の
    振動方向を制御するスイツチング素子とを有する
    光スイツチにおいて、前記第１、第２の直角プリ
    ズム付き偏光ビームスプリツタおよび前記第１、
    第２のスイツチング素子間に複数の偏光ビームス
    プリツタを配置したことを特徴とする光スイツチ
    。
