Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 一方が現用光源、他方が予備光源として用いら
    れる直線偏光波を出力する２つの光源と、該現用
    光源に一方の端部が接続された第１の偏波面保存
    光フアイバと、該予備光源に一方の端部が接続さ
    れた第２の偏波面保存光フアイバと、互いに直交
    する偏向軸を有する２つの光入射面および光出射
    面を有する偏光ビームスプリツタと、一端が該偏
    光ビームスプリツタの光出射面に結合された本線
    光フアイバとからなり、前記第１および第２の偏
    波面保存光フアイバの他方の端部を前記偏光ビー
    ムスプリツタの互いに直交する２つの光入射面の
    偏光軸と前記現用及び予備光源の前記直線偏光波
    の偏波面とを一致させるように回転せしめ、かつ
    前記両光源の切替えは前記現用及び予備光源の少
    なくとも一方の前記直線偏光波を常に前記本線光
    フアイバに導くようにしたことを特徴とする光源
    切替器。
