  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 ステアリングホイールから操舵輪までの操舵力
    伝達系の途中に設けられるパワーアシスト機構と
    、 該パワーアシスト機構に設けられ、操舵時にバ
    ツテリー電源により駆動される電動モータと、 を備えている電動パワーステアリング装置におい
    て、 前記バツテリー電源を、複数のバツテリーによ
    る電源にすると共に、車速検出手段からの車速信
    号が設定車速以下を示す信号である時は複数のバ
    ツテリーを直列に接続し、また、車速信号が設定
    車速を越えていることを示す信号である時は複数
    のバツテリーを並列に接続する電源制御回路を設
    けたことを特徴とする電動パワーステアリング装
    置。
