Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
この発明はたばこに酸化鉄を混合する事によって一酸化
炭素の発生を抑える事を特徴としたものである。今日、
たばこの害が叫ばれている中、たばこの害の原因にはニ
コチンとタールの他に一酸化炭素があげられる。従来、
ニコチンやタールの除去については、フィルターの工夫
等多くのものがあるが、−酸化炭素の除去については実
用化されているものはほとんどみあたらない。

本発明は、たばこの葉に酸化鉄（特に酸化第二鉄）の粉
を混合する事により、次の化学式で表わされる化学変化
を応用したものである。

火されたたばこから発生した一酸化炭素が酸化鉄に酸化
され、二酸化炭素となり主流煙及び副流煙に含まれる一
酸化炭素の濃度を著しく低下させる事が出来るものであ
る。従って、喫煙する本人はもちろん、周囲の人の健康
を守るうえでも本考案の効果は大きいと考えられる。
