Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分針〕 本発明のセルロース成型体は、高い耐熱性と圧縮弾性を
有し、歯車、ギヤー、航空機材、建築構造材料として有
用である。
〔従来技術〕
セルロースやカル?キシメチルセルロースナトリウムは
高弾性率の高分子であり、不融性であるので溶融成形で
きない。しかし、仁れらを可溶な溶媒で溶解し、この溶
液をキャスティングして膜に成形している(特開昭60
−28846号公報)。
〔従来技術の問題点〕
従来のキャスティング方法では、薄膜し力為成形できず
、厚肉の円板やブロックを成形することができない。ま
た、薄膜も強度が弱く、簡単に手で引き裂かれる。
〔問題点を解決する具体的手段〕
本発明は、セルロース、およびカルゲキシアルキルセル
ロースアルカリ金属塩より選ばれ念セルロース類の粉末
を型内に充填後、100kg/clII2以上の圧力で
この粉末を加圧成形して歯車、ギヤー、板状体等の成型
体とする。
(セルロース類) セルロース類の粉末としては、セルロース及びカル−キ
シル基を有するカルがキシメチルセルロースやカルゲキ
シエチルセルロースのアルカリ金属塩が利用できる。
カルがキシルアルキルセルロースのアルカリ金属塩は、
カルゲキシルアルキルセルロースのカルがキシル基1尚
量に対し、アルカリ金属を0.1〜10モルの割合で反
応させることによシ得られる。原料のカルーーキシルア
ルキルセルロースは、セルロースの水酸基の60チ以上
がカルコ苧シル基に誘導されたものを用いる。
セルロース類の粒径は、1,000ミクロン以下が好ま
しく、必要により粉砕し、500ミクロン以下、好1し
くけ200ミクロン以下とし、成形材料とする。
セルロース類は、1〜100.000気圧下では500
℃以下の温度では溶融しない。
(成型体の製造ン 成型体は、セルロース類の粉末を例えばwJ1図に示す
圧縮金型のキャビティ1内に充填し、これを50℃以上
、好ましくは100〜500℃で、100 k4/cI

g71M”の圧力下で行なう。図中、1はキャビティ、
2はキャピテイ形成用)曳つジング材、3はピストン棒

加圧成形時の雰囲気は、9素ガス下、ヘリウムガス下、
窒気下等何であってもよい。加圧成形は減圧下(0,0
001〜100飼Hg)に行うのが好ましい。
成形体の形状は棒状、板状、歯車状等任意である。この
成型体は、必要に応じて熱処理を行ったシ、切削や切断
加工、穿孔加工等が可能である。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明の効果を箇条書すれば次の通シである。
(1)  フィルム状に限らず、棒状、板状、ブロック
状、カム、歯車等任意の形状の成型体が得られる。
(2)  成型体は高い圧縮弾性率(例えは1ギガパス
力ル以上)、耐熱性を有し、割れや亀裂がない。
以下、実施例によシ本発明を更に詳細に説明する。
実施例1 セルロース粉末的0.81をとり、第1図に示すキャビ
ティ形成用ハウジング材2.2とシリンダー(内径2c
lRφ)4の間に入れ、内部の空気を排気・母イア”’
10を通して真空ポンプにより排気しつつ、200℃に
加熱したホットプレスで5,000に!7/crn工の
圧力を60分間加えることによシ成形した。
このようにして得られた円板状の成形物は、比重が1.
53でToシ、若干薄茶色に着色していた。この成形物
を長さ15日、巾8mm、厚さ2■の直方体に切削し、
クロスヘッドスピード0、5■/分の条件でオートグラ
フDSS−500(島津製作所製)を用いて圧縮弾性率
を測定した。一方向の圧縮弾性率は8.53 GPa 
、これと厘角な方向の圧縮弾性率は8.51 GPaで
ありた。
!!施何例 カル−キシメチルセルロースナトリウム塩の粉末1.3
Iをとシ、実施例1と同様にし、150℃に加熱したホ
ットプレスで4,000kg/−の圧力を60分間加え
ることによシ成形した。
得られ九円板状の成形物は比i11.58であり、僅か
に着色しているものの半透明であった。実施例1と同様
にして測定した圧縮弾性率は9.16QP畠および9.
14GPaであり九。
比較例1 実施例2の粉末12.9を純水400CCに溶解した溶
液を、ガラス板上にキャストした後に200℃で5時間
熱処理することによシ、褐色透明なフィルムを得た。こ
のものは非常圧脆かった。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1)セルロースおよびカルボキシアルキルセルロースア
    ルカリ金属塩より選ばれたセルロース類の粉末を型内に
    充填後、100kg/cm^2以上の圧力で加圧成形し
    て成型体とすることを特徴とするセルロース成型体の製
    造方法。 2)加圧成形が減圧下で行われることを特徴とする特許
    請求の範囲第1項記載の製造方法。 3)加圧成形が50〜500℃の温度でなされることを
    特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項記載の製造方法。 4)成型体のJISK7208−1975に準拠して測
    定した圧縮弾性率が1×10^9パスカル(1GPa)
    以上であることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項記載
